Greg Brownless was on holiday in Phuket in late 2004. Weeks later, the Boxing Day tsunami struck, and he returned to Thailand to help with the repatriation of those who had died to their families. The experience changed him and made him rethink his entire life, and he knew he wanted to do something bigger. He gifted what was then Greg Brownless Funeral Homes to Legacy Trust, who own Legacy Funerals. Profits from the funeral home are gifted back to the local community via the charitable Trust. It is a story about creating a Legacy longer than your lifetime.

Eventually, she became a matron at Ranfurly Hospital. She cared for war veterans in the Boer War, one being a drummer boy who was only nine years old when he enlisted. Val’s philosophy is simple. Life is what you make of it. When things get tough, you dig yourself out. Her stories will inspire you to embrace each day.
