Tauranga Community Foodbank Trust ... says thank you to the families who chose Legacy Funerals.
You may already know that Legacy Funerals channels all its profits back into charities within the Tauranga community via Legacy Trust. As the grants are distributed the recipients explain the impact the money has had on their charitable efforts:"Up to two years ago it was common for the Foodbank to issue 5,000 or more food parcels in a year to needy families in Tauranga. In 2009 the number of families in difficulty and relying on the Foodbank for assistance was nearly twice that at 9,500 which means more funds were required to purchase extra food. We are especially grateful to Legacy Trust for its two $5,000 donations, each coming at peak times in the year and providing vital assistance to people and families most in need of help."- Don Brebner, Chairman, Tauranga Community Foodbank Trust.
