Tauranga Boys' and Girls' Colleges' Annual Drama Production - $10,000

Production Directors Stephanie Harford and Christina Cassells, said “Tauranga Girls’ College and the West Side Story Production Team are thrilled to have Legacy Trust as their main sponsor for this year’s production. The musical will be held at the Baycourt Theatre in June and the students are already well into rehearsals. Our ability to stage the production in a professional venue like this, and create convincing sets, costumes and props, is only due to Legacy Trust’s sponsorship and support.”

Legacy Trust is committed to supporting youth and the arts. Following the allocation of funds to the Tauranga Girls and Boys Colleges', a letter has been sent to other schools in the region inviting them to consider applying for funding also.

Thank you Legacy Trust

from from Tauranga Girls and Tauranga Boys Drama Department

You may already know that Legacy Funerals channels their profits into Legacy Trust, for distribution to local charities.
Following the first lot of grants that were made in 2008, the recipients explain the impact the funds have had on their efforts.

The Tauranga Girls’ College would like to extend a huge thank you to the team at Legacy Trust for their sponsorship of “West Side Story”. This grant was put towards building the set and many costumes, which made for a hugely successful production. It is very hard to meet the demands of putting on a full scale production and Legacy Trust has helped us in achieving our goal. This success was confirmed when we heard the responses
from the community and the appreciation they had for the hard work that made the show what it was. The students and production team were pivotal in making this show but again none of it could have been achieved without the monetary backing and moral support from Legacy Trust. A sincere thank you Legacy Trust from the Production Crew, students at TGC and TBC and the community for helping put on such a rewarding show!”
