Waipuna Hospice ... says thank you to the families who chose Legacy Funerals

You may already know that Legacy Funerals channels all its profits back into charities within the Tauranga community, via Legacy Trust. As the grants are distributed the recipients explain the impact the money has had on their charitable efforts:

"We were thrilled to receive one of the first grants from Legacy Trust. We have allocated the $25,000 donated toward nursing salaries and medical supplies. Our annual spend in both these areas is significant as we provide 24/7 specialist palliative care for more than six hundred patients each year in the Western Bay of Plenty. Our community nurses visit patients around the region providing the expert care they require. This has such a significant impact on our patients, families and whanau at a time that is difficult for everyone. This cannot happen without the support of our community and donations like this one from Legacy. Thank you Legacy and the people of Tauranga, from us all."  - Richard Thurlow, CEO Waipuna Hospice

Thank you to all the families who have chosen Legacy Funerals. The decision to use Legacy ensures the continued financial support for groups in our community.

If you would like to be part of this great charitable initiative, talk to Legacy Funerals about a pre-arranged funeral or make your wishes known to your family.

Making a Lasting Gift

All profits from Legacy Funerals are distributed by the Legacy Trust to local charities.  To date, the Legacy Trust has gifted over $500,000 to the local community - generosity that is only possible because of the choice that families have made in choosing Legacy Funerals.

Legacy Funerals is a member of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand.
