Meeting with the Funeral Director

Once you have contacted us, we will arrange to meet you at your home, at the hospital or at either of our funeral homes, whichever venue is the most comfortable for you. At this meeting we will talk about choices available to you and the kind of service you want, so you can decide what is most appropriate for your family.

If you are not ready to make all the necessary decisions at that time, we will come back to you either later in the day or in the following days, so that we make arrangements to your satisfaction.

Once you have decided on the funeral details it is then our job to smooth the way and make all the necessary arrangements. This will relieve you of some of the stress often associated with arranging a funeral and making decisions at a difficult time. This leaves you more free to spend time with family and friends and to begin dealing with your grief.

Making a Lasting Gift

All profits from Legacy Funerals are distributed by the Legacy Trust to local charities.  To date, the Legacy Trust has gifted over $600,000 to the local community - generosity that is only possible because of the choice that families have made in choosing Legacy Funerals.

Legacy Funerals is a member of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand.
